Two in Technicolor is a team featuring two lovely bloggers and friends of We Love Colors...
Kimberly of Fashion Momma and Collette of Statements in Fashion!
Every other week Kimberly and Collette will feature a fellow blogger they've recruited to get the scoop on We Love Colors tights. Kimberly and Collette are both fashionistas AND mothers so we're so excited to send them out into the blogosphere with their unique perspectives!
Melissa is a full-time working, single mom of a sweet little girl. She writes the blog, A Working Mom's Closet, which is not only a look into just that, but truly an inspirational look into the life of a very busy mother and how she juggles all aspects of life. Melissa is known across the blogosphere for her colorful accessories and affinity for belts. She can pretty much take anything from a suit to a tube dress and make it professional with a bit of creativity and a colorful twist. Melissa took We Love Colors footless tights in Teal for a test run, and here’s what she had to say!
When you are getting ready for your day, does the idea of tights usually get you excited to get dressed?
Absolutely! Tights have the uncanny ability to make or break an outfit, just like shoes! Having a new pair of tights is doubly exciting!
When grabbing tights to add to your outfit, would you rather have neutrals or several color choices at hand?
Colors. Definitely colors. I have an affinity for wearing pops of color and mixing fun combinations so the ability to do that in legwear makes me happy!
We Love Colors has tights for women of all shapes and sizes: How important is fit when it comes to your clothing choices?
Very important. In order to feel good, you have to FEEL good. What woman is going to be confident wearing something that doesn’t fit well, that’s constricting or bunching or pooling around the ankles?
Do you just throw on what you have, or are you meticulous about everything fitting properly?
I would say that I fall into a middle area here. I’m not quite meticulous about proper fit, but I don’t just throw on what I have either.
Comfort is important to most moms, but we generally would like it if our "comfortable clothes" also look awesome! Did you find your We Love Colors tights to fit in the "comfort zone?"
Absolutely. I went through a very long stretch of time where I simply refused to wear any kind of tights or hose because of how uncomfortable they were. They were difficult to put on, they bunched, they twisted, they turned and they snagged and ran so easily! These tights were comfortable all day long, throughout a morning with my three-year-old daughter, a two-hour car trip and then a late night out too! No bunching, no feeling like I’m packed in like a sausage, just comfort and fun colors!
What is your favorite color to wear? To decorate with?
To wear would have to be purple. Apparently. :) My favorite color is green (actually more of a teal, hence the teal tights!) but for some reason purple dominates my closet. In decorating, I’ve found myself being drawn to a neutral palette of browns and beiges with pops of bright colors (blues, greens, etc.).
Why do you love these colors so much?
I think they’re fun! They’re cheerful, inviting and soothing all at the same time.
Compared to tights and hose that you have previously worn, what did you enjoy most about wearing a We Love Colors product (ie: durability, thickness, tag in the back)?
I liked the fact that they were so sturdy but not at all constricting. The color was rich and vibrant and the fit didn’t leave me with marks all over my tummy. As a single, working mom, the last thing I want to mess with in the mornings is taking forever to get a pair of tights on and then having them snag or run before I even get out the door. The We Love Colors tights were not only easy to get on, but easy to wear and stayed intact throughout a VERY busy day!
Thanks so much to our Two in Technicolor team and to Melissa of A Working Mom's Closet!
